About Lovett, Watters, Billingsley, Dubard, McKinney

Under Construction as of June 2006.

This Web Site is dedicated to the memory of my mother and father who tramped through many woods searching for cemeteries in the blazing hot sun, getting stung by bees and chased by critters...looking for that elusive relative.

My love of genealogy was passed down to me by my mother. It took me a long time to realize it..but NOW I AM HOOKED ! Thankfully, my mother and I enjoyed several years working together on the family history before she passed away 24 June 2005. She would get tickled at me when I would call her so excited about breaking down a "brick wall" on someone I had been researching. It's hard not to reach for that phone this past year to call her..but she is in heaven where she wanted to be. She said at least when she got there...she would know all about the relatives that were there!!

The information contained within has been researched over many years with much of the work on the Lovett, Taylor, Watters and Billingsley families researched by my parents. This research has been based on family resources, documents, census and MANY family members help. I know there are mistakes, official government documents do not agree and the same with grave markers and family bible entries, I even make a few typos and outright mistakes along the way! If you do find a mistake, please let me know and I will correct it as soon as possible.

The information contained on the Dubard and McKinney lineage is ongoing. The Dubard name has been elusive as it was changed from Dubbert to Dubard, DuBard, Dubar etc. Our first relative, John Frederick Dubbert was a Tory and finding information on him was frustrating. However, a lot of headway has been made the last few years. Our lineage was the brother, William Philip Dubard, who broke off from Mississippi and moved to Louisiana where relatives are to this day.

Though I have tried to verify as much informaton as possible, 100% accuracy of data cannot be guaranteed. I will be more than happy to provide specific sources at any time. In other words - I acknowledge the very hard work all genealogists put into building their family histories and I do not take credit for anyone else's work.

WANTED! WANTED! OLD FAMILY PICTURES, OBITS, FAMILY BIBLE ENTRIES!

I am happy to share information with you and are waiting to hear from new family out there! This information can be shared for NON COMMERCIAL purposes.

PLEASE VISIT MY GUEST BOOK AND LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK! I would love for you to add your email address, if possible.

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
